Communication skills –you will be dealing with lots of people and you ought to be a good communicator. You must express yourself and your ideas well so that the prospective clients can understand you. Especially if you are into direct sales, there is no place for nervousness as people will not have confidence in your product, no matter how good it is, if they would not see a trace of conviction in you.

Persuasion skills –it would not be enough that you have good communication skills. Sales jobs would require persuasion skills as well. This is essential as you need to make an impact on the buying preferences of your prospective clients. You ought to convince them that you have what they need and that your product must be preferred over the others. Keep in mind that you are not the only one trying to persuade them so you ought to do best at your turn.

Selling Skills –as you are into sales, it is but only obvious that you would sell. One of the most important things that you need to have an influence on is the buying decision of your clients. It is not enough that they are convinced that you are offering the best product. Rather, they need to choose your product so that you can generate sales.
