A nurse job entails giving assistance to doctors on duty, and in the absence of a doctor, nurses give initial care for patients needing special attention or emergency solution. The nurse job is crucial as it can save lives or lose one. If the function is performed well, this job can be rewarding.

Performing a nurse job requires a specific set of skill and training that is acquired from an established institution, like schools and hospitals, licensed to train people to become nurses. A diploma and complete training is mandated for any individual to be allowed to perform this job. Although it can sometimes become degrading as some people seem to belittle the fact that this job is just to assist a more important role in life saving, a doctor at that, being a nurse is nonetheless important and essential from a medical point of view.

This is also one type of jobs that has a very huge opportunity all over the world. Requirement from hospitals all over is tremendously big. As such, more and more people, dreaming to work elsewhere is considering getting a license for this job. Not to mention the potential income being a nurse will entail, having the chance to save lives can be very humanitarian and self-rewarding as well.

However, since there is a specific required accomplishment prior to becoming hired as a nurse, not everyone can choose to apply to work with this profession. Since training is very important to become an effective nurse, only people with license can perform this job.

One very important fact to consider if you want to take on this career path, if you are not comfortable dissecting human body, then you might want to reconsider. As this profession involves seeing people bleed and taking part in opening body and mending a broken person, it can only work for people who do not find all these things nauseating and uncomfortable.

Saving lives can be great for people who can be strong enough to handle people at their weakest. Please bear in mind that there are quite a few people cut-out for this type of function, if you are not one of those, you might want to reconsider and find a more suitable job for you.
