Individuals whose experience and knowledge on biology are above average, a wide selection of career opportunities awaits them especially in the fields of genetics and biotechnology.

Don’t think that you don’t have a place in biotechnology if your degree is in the fields of social sciences or economics. As a matter of fact, you can still pursue a great career in biotechnology. Companies that use biotechnology generally need skilful people who would be responsible in marketing their products as well as managing their administrative functions, representing negotiations abroad and obtaining legal patents.

It’s no wonder that more jobs in the field of biomedicine or biotechnology keep on increasing over the years.

The US government also offers biotech jobs. According to a statistical study, 3 out of 10 biomedical professionals get employed by the local government to do research on biotechnology. If you want to increase your chances of getting hired by the government, you can consider gaining an experience in a biotech industry. Employees who have work experience in any of the following industries have higher chances of getting promoted when they decide to work on private biotech companies – U.S. Trademark Office, Patent Office and U.S. Food and Drug Administration.

Biotech jobs are also offered across any health care institution all over the U.S. aside from government agencies. Those who wish to have jobs in medical technology can apply in private hospital testing companies, National Institutes of Health and government hospitals. Due to the increasing need for product development and quality control, a lot biotech careers and lab technician jobs are fostered especially in the fields of agriculture, commercial production, industrial procedures and medical research.
